Thomas A. Cortese, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.


As an Educator and adjunct faculty member of the Indiana University School of Medicine since 1969,  I am a Volunteer Clinical Professor of Dermatology with the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology teaching my specialty to the medical students, residents in Dermatology training, and physicians in other specialty training areas who rotate through the Dermatology Clinic at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center in Indianapolis.  I also provide both formal and informal lectures in Practical Dermatology and Home Skin Care to a variety of schools, organizations, and interest groups.

Currently, as a staff physician of Forefront Dermatology in clinical practice, I provide patient care and render dermatologic evaluations and support to physicians in different specialties for their patients with problematic skin disorders and who need prompt assistance and/or special guidance in cutaneous management.
